About this project

This project was commissioned by a client in Panama. As an established software company, I was thrilled they trusted me to develop the MVP for their new product plan. Having worked with them in the past, I knew firsthand how capable their team is. Because I left a strong impression when I previously parted ways with the company, they reached out to me specifically to bring this project to life.

Product Design & Frontend Architecture

Partnered directly with the client to translate business requirements into custom, responsive UI mockups; engineered the frontend from scratch using React and Tailwind CSS to achieve a pixel-perfect.

State Management & Multi-Step Workflows

Leveraged Zustand for lightweight, high-performance global state management, seamlessly coordinating complex user registration data and multi-stage verification steps across the application.

Real-Time KYC Processing

Implemented WebSockets to establish a persistent, bidirectional communication channel, enabling the UI to dynamically respond and advance based on real-time validation progress updates from the backend

AI Document Processing & Biometric Security

Integrated AWS OCR for precise, automated data extraction from official identity documents, combined with facial recognition technology to execute cross-match identity verification and real-person liveness detection.

Cross-Device User Experience

Architected a seamless desktop-to-mobile handoff utilizing dynamic QR codes containing unique session identifiers, allowing users to effortlessly capture documents and biometric data on their mobile devices
